We write the name Herbadent in two ways. If it is part of the written text, we write it with a capital letter at the beginning. In the marking of products, we always write it in capital letters. The capitalized name can also be used in text if it is necessary to highlight it.

Slogan

To enhance the brand's distinctiveness, we also use the slogans “Made of herbs”, “Prevention by nature” and “Enjoy the smile” in communication. The use of these slogans underscores our efforts to communicate key brand values such as natural origin, quality and a positive approach to prevention.

Herbadent is a small niche growing brand in most of its market segments. The main market is the Czech Republic and the aim is to expand to other countries.
Where we provide the most value
Our products are based on a unique extract of seven herbs, which has proven high effectiveness in preventing but also in solving acute problems in the oral cavity. Because of this, our customers come back and trust our other products as well.

Segments

Our products belong primarily to the “Dental Hygiene” market segment. Individual products can be classified into product subsegments: Specialty toothpastes, mouthwashes, dental and interdental brushes, and gum care.

Specialized toothpastes are medium to premium products that are sought after by more demanding customers due to a specific need.

Product prices

Our products are priced differently within their segments.

In the segment of specialty toothpastes and mouthwashes, our products are priced at a premium.

In the dental and interdental brush segment, products are priced as affordable products with a high price/performance ratio.

In the gum care segment, our products are average in price.

Brand Awareness

According to customer surveys, Herbadent has an increasing level of spontaneous knowledge in the Czech Republic, currently around 6%. Supported knowledge has a value above 60%. This fact is due to the fact that Herbadent is known as a traditional brand of herbal medicine. A high level of supported knowledge represents a good opportunity for brand building.

Physical availability

Herbadent products are sold in all major drugstore and pharmacy chains in the Czech Republic. Customers can find our products in brick-and-mortar stores and e-shops.

They are also available in online supermarkets and major e-shops focusing on dental hygiene or natural cosmetics, including their own e-shop.

Thanks to our ambassador program, our products are also available to dentists and dental hygienists.

The distribution network of Herbadent products in the Czech Republic is constantly growing.

The story of Herbadent

In 1897, Dr. Javůrek and Dr. Svatek founded the company First Fermentation and Malton Wine Cellars in Prague. Medicinal wines have enjoyed commercial success and have also won many medals from international competitions. This company was nationalized after World War II and incorporated into the United Pharmaceutical Plants (SPOFA) national enterprise.

During the 1960s, Dr. Karmazin developed a unique herbal solution, which became the basis for the now legendary healing gum solution. Thanks to the extract of seven medicinal herbs, it helps to quickly and effectively treat most problems of the oral mucosa such as injuries, inflammations or aphthae. Its discovery marks a key milestone in the development of products for the treatment and care of healthy mouths.

Herbadent medicinal solution, thanks to its effective natural composition, quickly became a popular and sought-after brand for the relief of painful problems with the oral cavity. Herbadent solution is still produced in our factory according to the original recipe, and dentists recommend it to the next generation of patients as the best remedy for problems with the oral mucosa.

Despite the success of the original solution, the national enterprise ran into trouble due to poor management and lack of product innovation. Fortunately, in 1996, the company was privatized and several attempts were made to save it. The traditional brand was eventually taken over by a group of investors. As a consultant, the dentist MUDr. Pavel Smažík. In the situation when the original investors decided to sell the company, Herbadent already knew very well and, as a doctor, knew the importance of taking care of comprehensive oral health prevention. Based on this conviction, he bought back the company and, thanks to his expertise, gave Herbadent a new direction.

Thus, around the original extract, a whole range of means for effective oral care is created. Today, under the Herbadent brand, we offer toothpastes, mouthwashes, gum gels and other products. And since we know that teeth clean mainly with the right brushes, we have developed a range of available dental and interdental brushes together with leading Czech dentists. Our mission for years to come remains unchanged. We help our customers care for healthy teeth and firm gums with herbal products.
